Currently we only have our bedroom set (RM 2100) and 6 seat dining table set (RM 450). Not much, but its comfy. Later on we plan to get a bed for the guest room, a sofa set and a stove & oven combo (from my parent's). No entertainment system yet though coz we're not sure when we will be free enough to watch TV. We'd be better off going around The Lake Gardens and enjoy the old town feel of Taiping.
Our lives are set to change in a few weeks time. I'll be going for my induction on 26th December in KL. Most probably I will start working in the hospital on 2nd January. Hopefully I'll get Taiping Hospital, if not I'll have to appeal. To my batchmates...I'm gonna be joining you next year in HELL (Highly Exhausting Life L.........-fill the blanks). To those who have read my 'Jacob' FB status....don't be surprised to see my transformation. :)

i've an accidentaly read your blog. i like with your new house that u rent which is really affordable with rm500.. u'r house looks cosy to live in. may i know which area you find that house.
currently, i'm searching for a house to rent especially in taiping. and it is difficult to find one. and also, i find that the food in taiping is really expensive especially in medan taiping, which area is chapati n teh tarik with only rm1.70!.

Our house is in Aulong area.Its a relatively new area. RM 500 is actually quite expensive for a house in Taiping. You can get RM 300-400 for a terrace house. It really depends on your needs. If bujang,just go for the cheap ones. This bungalow is quite hard to maintain...windows everywhere, not to mention the grass(lalang) that needs to be cut. I suggest you drive around Kg Boyan and Taman Hillview area to look for the houses. I took a drive recently and I saw a few decent houses.
For food, avoid Medan Taiping...mahal and tak sedap sangat. The place I had breakfast was at KTM/Railway station. Its behind the hospital. Its more alive at night. I had Mee Rebus and teh tarik semalam for RM 3.80 je. Another good place is belakang Bomba. The yong tau foo and char kuey tiau is nice. I'm sure you have heard of Doli Kuey Tiau. Its supposed to be famous but don't go there. Tak sedap mane pon, and the service is really lembap.
